We Homo Sapien consider ourselves as intelligent simians!

The opposable thumb lent an unwitting advantage to out equip the other beasts of the literal jungle! From discovering fire during the age of flint stone, the forebears of contemporary man and womankind wrought complex edifices! Ingenious anonymous ancestors applied raw materials of brainpower and natural resources to conjure brilliant contraptions.

These raw primitive blueprints arising from the gray matter of the imagination of some smart Geico cave person allowed, enabled and promoted revolutions in the then ordinary scheme of life!

In contrast to the digital electronic formidable gadgets, those innovations of previous millenniums must appear utterly archaic, yet the genius minds of hundreds of generations ago affected the trajectory of the human species while simultaneously securing a station of survival of the fittest!

Wisdom eventually became more deliberate than accidental. Also, an ecological consciousness eventually dawned to focus on mindfulness sans available finite resources, with an attendant necessity to temper that natural temptation else the manifold riches that fueled those primitive societies would be quickly exhausted!

Now, a premium paid (in the form of top dollar from venture capitalists) for minds that display entrepreneurial esprit de corps ethos which innate natural predilection exhibits innovation and the means to implement a warp speed enhancement of humanity in general!

Essentially, this generally doubting thomas disparages the ever growing reliance on the trappings of technology and quietly riots and rages against the machine like contrivances that seem to foist bipedal simians greater dependence on such digital devices!

I would readily admit to being a hypocrite for countenancing a Luddite philosophy since this mister mom (of deux daughters) easily falls prey to the gentle imprecations of the eldest (a twelve year old who attends Welsh Valley Middle School in the Lower Merion District) for this papa to purchase an Ipod Nano!

Much as he (meaning myself of course) disparages against acceding to spending more greenbacks on this wafer eight gigabyte byte size bit of electronic wizardry, the regular gentle insistence from said lass eventually found this dada brokering a deal!

Eden (the young woman in question and biological offspring) agreed to contribute money earned (accumulated) from performing reasonable domestic tasks, which willingness allowed, enabled and provided that je nais sais quois sense of care taking responsibility per this quite pricey item!

This purchase found her spirits immediate soaring to the stratosphere!

Such ebullience, euphoria, excitement, et cetera seem worth the financial sacrifice no matter that monetary shortcomings casts a pallor of psychic disquietude!

Okay, this personal acquisition (of mine) does not necessarily affect global salvation, nor vanquish extant struggles that pit millions (if not billions) of people in the throes of hand to mouth hard scrapple existence!

Nay!

The revolution wrought from miniaturization offers efficiency in maximization of tapping into mental, physical and spiritual resources, whether those materiel mother lodes located deep within the bowels of the Earth or derived from the latent creativity driven by axon/neuron synaptic connection!
