For a moment time comes to a standstill, the terrified looks of women and children carved like stone in memory.
A sound so loud it ruptures ear drums and breaks windows a half a mile away.
Vision blurs as a bright flash followed by smoke and debris envelopes everything in sight.
In the silence of the tragedy the noise is deafening, the agonizing screams and sirens fill the air along with the smell of burned flesh.
Why would someone do this?
What pleasure could there be in butchering innocent people?
I suppose some feel they are guilty, guilty of crimes they do not even know.
News spreads around the world like a new flu virus, bringing tears and praise.
There are those that live to die, to kill, to murder and cause chaos.
And are just as lost and confused as the victims and families of those affected by their acts of terror.
Is this to bring glory to some God?
Are we called to kill each other in defense of our own beliefs?
My mind reals in contemplation of these things.
Should I seek revenge, can I take my anger to innocent people and spill thier blood to satisfy some sick self serving perverted idea of religion?
What really is the point of killing in the name of ?………
