The Big Drop

Description: Jeff Meador drops a 25-foot cliff in the upper realms of Alta, Utah's premier skier-only resort. I like this shot not because it's great photography (it's not a high quality shot), but because it represents something that I've never done. I'm too terrified to jump a cliff this big. I've skied off 10- or 15-foot ledges, but never one this daunting. My brothers David and Jeff have done these kind on multiple occasions, and I think that's impressive.

Date: February 6, 2005

Location: Alta, Utah, USA
