caribou

Land of the Caribou

Description: This has been the background on my computer desktop for over a year now. I visited the Tetons in August 2007, after skiing there once in March 2003. It is now officially one of my favorite places in the world. This marsh field stood between our lodge and the mountain range. We saw caribou crossing the plain on a few occasions as the sun began to set. It's a truly magical place.

Date: August 9, 2007

Location: Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA

Camera: Nikon Coolpix 5600

Edited with: Photoshop CS3
