ISSUE #12 - JUNE 2009
poetry
Friends

let you rub off your dusty self near me, catching your crumbs
How about standing up and serving yourself
I'm tired of force-feeding you babies
it's all malnutrition for you withering idiots

I'm not the hungry one
I'm not the starving one
decaying and
Eating yourself away

Carefully stitching my mouth shut now
cut this off
cut out my tongue, please staple it to my teeth
it was all in good fun

too lazy to work a knife and fork? --you fucks
you're missing the main attractions
what we've been served and purged and dished out
it's all for you and all for us

I'm no longer numb to these nails or walls
waiting and wasting away
in the dustier smoke and plastic
beyond choking or drowning
wiped away and forgotten

thanks for nothing. I'm sorry. it was nothing. I'm afraid.
